Up until now, we LOVED that Katy Perry opened up about the breakdown of her marriage to Russell Brand in her new documentary Part Of Me. And between you and I, we were even a little dirty on Russell as it appeared that Katy was the only one making any effort to keep their marriage alive! In one scene she sobbed to members of her entourage "I'm trying to save my marriage."

Now, however, Star magazine are reporting that Russell 'hit the roof' when he saw the doco!

The source said "Russell is furious that Katy is still dragging his name through the mud. He's frustrated that she won't stop talking about it."

Still, Russell has nothing bad to say about his failed relationship, telling radio host Howard Stern that the marriage "mostly didn't work for practical reasons."

"It just seemed like the sensible thing to do [when we got married]," Brand said, adding that when they became husband and wife he realised "this isn't really working out, it's a difficult situation. I was really, really in love with her, but it was difficult to see each other."

Brand also confessed to fears Katy will read second-hand recounts of his interview and "she'll be sad and I don't want that".

"I don't want anything to hurt her. She's a young woman and she's beautiful and she's sensitive and I care about her deeply."

Katy Perry and Russell Brand finalised their divorce this week.
